Ashley McBryde to Open Redemption Bar — a First‑Of‑Its‑Kind Non‑Alcoholic Music Venue on Broadway

Ashley McBryde Is Opening a Mocktail Bar in Nashville

Country music star Ashley McBryde is bringing a fresh twist to Nashville’s bar scene with a new mocktail bar set to open on Broadway — making non-alcoholic options more accessible to locals and tourists alike.

On Friday, August 1, McBryde officially announced her plans, becoming the latest country artist to open a venue on the iconic Nashville strip. But unlike many of her peers, McBryde’s bar will focus on zero-proof cocktails, creating a space where music and mindful drinking go hand in hand.

Redemption Bar: A First-of-Its-Kind Venue on Broadway

Ashley McBryde’s new venture, Redemption, is set to break the mold on Nashville’s bustling Broadway. Unlike any other venue in the area, Redemption will be a non-alcoholic bar and live music space designed with inclusivity in mind.

Located inside Eric Church’s Chief’s, the venue will serve up a creative zero-proof cocktail menu, with drink names inspired by song lyrics — a nod to McBryde’s deep ties to music and storytelling.

While the bar is centered around providing a safe and fun environment for those who choose not to drink, McBryde has made it clear that Redemption won’t exclude anyone — the menu will include alcoholic options as well, ensuring that everyone feels welcome.

“It was vital that I create a space where not drinking is the forethought – normalized,” she told Rolling Stone. “You can get alcohol drinks in Redemption too, because everyone is welcome.”

She continued, “When the opportunity to make my mark on Broadway came, I knew I wanted to create a space that champions what’s made a difference in my life; a space that lifts up the brushed aside, and makes sure everyone feels welcome.”

Another thing that sets McBryde’s new bar apart is its open space dedicated to up-and-coming singers and songwriters.

Instead of focusing on cover songs like most Broadway bars, Redemption will give artists the chance to perform their own original music.

Ashley McBryde’s Sobriety Journey

Just a few months ago, Ashley McBryde shared a deeply personal milestone: three years of sobriety.

While the country star made the decision to stop drinking in 2022 as part of her own journey toward self-improvement, she chose to keep that choice private during the early stages. It wasn’t until she reached the one-year mark that she felt ready to speak publicly about her path.

McBryde’s openness has since inspired fans and fellow artists alike, and her latest project — the launch of Redemption Bar — reflects her commitment to creating spaces that support both fun and wellness.

“All people are gonna do is just wait for you to screw up, and that’s really annoying. I did it for me. I didn’t do it for social media,” she told PEOPLE in 2023.

McBryde also shared that she made the decision to give up alcohol completely after coming to terms with how much it was taking over her life.

“Maybe part of being the ‘whiskey-drinking badass’ is knowing when to set it down, knowing when it’s costing you too much,” she said. “This had become too costly, and I’m not willing to trade this — what I do, what I love — for anything.”

Ashley McBryde’s Nashville bar will open its doors on August 28.
