Jelly Roll’s Weight Loss Journey
Alongside his rising music career, Jelly Roll is openly celebrating his progress in losing weight. At 40 years old, he reached a high of 540 lbs before deciding it was time for a change. As he shared his journey with fans and followers, he expressed:
“I wanna have one of the biggest transformations. I did this publicly for a reason. I wanna be honest about my struggles with it with people.”
After shedding 70 lbs, Jelly Roll achieved a major milestone by completing his first 5K race in May 2024. Fueled by this success, his determination only intensified. A year later, he ran the same race again, revealing an incredible total weight loss of 200 lbs!
With his transformation, Jelly Roll has gained more energy, improved mobility, and greater stamina. Recently, he made his WWE debut, going head-to-head with Logan Paul in a thrilling match.
The Tennessee native is set to return to the WWE ring for SummerSlam on August 2nd-3rd.
A Goal 30 Years in the Making
In a recent conversation with Stephanie McMahon on her WWE podcast, What’s Your Story, Jelly Roll opened up about his lifelong battle with weight. He revealed that he started gaining weight at a very young age and left middle school tipping the scales at over 300 lbs.
The “Save Me” singer also shared an exclusive update for the first time: he is on track to drop below 300 lbs for the first time in 30 years. With confidence, he declared:
“I am going to be under 300 lbs for the first time since middle school, the night I walk to that ring at Summerslam.”
Jelly Roll shared that, although he only weighs himself once a month, he’s “doing the work” and feels confident he will hit this next milestone.

Jelly Roll Shares Upcoming Goals & Surgery Plans
The rapper-turned-country singer has previously shared that one of his larger health goals is to be on the cover of Men’s Health magazine in March 2026. Now, he is ready to publicly announce another goal.
“This will make my publicist hate me,” jokes Jelly Roll, before he makes this bold statement:
“I want to do a shirt-off cover in ’27.”
