Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation Donates $300K to Aid Flood-Stricken Animal Shelters
Country star Miranda Lambert’s nonprofit, MuttNation Foundation, has joined forces with Tractor Supply to provide critical aid to animal shelters devastated by recent floods, distributing over $300,000 in relief funds.
The donations, allocated through the foundation’s Relief for Rescues Fund, will support more than 20 shelters and rescue organizations across Texas, New Mexico, and New Jersey. The funding aims to assist with emergency care for displaced animals, facility repairs, and resources for overworked shelter staff in the wake of catastrophic flooding earlier this month.
Lambert, a Texas native, expressed her grief over the disaster, stating, “The tragedy that took so many lives—and forever changed so many others—left me heartbroken. All I knew was that I wanted to help.” She emphasized the foundation’s swift response, adding, “We created this fund to act quickly when shelters need it most, and it’s incredible to see the impact. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
Tractor Supply, which carries MuttNation merchandise, also contributed to the relief efforts. Kimberley Gardiner, Tractor Supply’s SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, affirmed the company’s commitment: “These funds are a lifeline for animals and the heroes caring for them. We stand with these organizations in their mission of rescue and compassion.”
Country Artists Rally for Texas Flood Relief
The country music community has mobilized to support flood recovery efforts in Texas. Fellow Texans Robert Earl Keen and George Strait have announced upcoming benefit concerts, while Josh Weathers raised over $430,000 through a virtual benefit shortly after the disaster.
Additionally, Chris and Morgane Stapleton donated $1 million via their Outlaw State of Kind fund, directing aid to multiple organizations—including Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation.
Lambert’s Ongoing Efforts
Founded in 2009 with her mother, Bev, MuttNation has long championed animal welfare, particularly during crises. On July 5, the foundation partnered with Kerrville Pets Alive to assess flood-related needs.
Lambert further revealed plans for a benefit concert during a July 14 interview on SiriusXM’s Highway Mornings, telling host Cody Alan: “I’m heartbroken and feel helpless, but Texans help Texans. I’m working on ways to do more—stay tuned for announcements.”
As recovery continues, Lambert and fellow artists remain at the forefront of relief efforts, proving that the country music community stands strong in times of need.
